How much money is there in the world?
Living in the modern world, everyone has long been accustomed to the fact that money is the basis of all your undertakings, plans, and satisfaction of needs. But how many of them are there in our world? I will try to answer this difficult question.
I will not pour water about the history of money, about how they appeared and what they were like before. Let's go straight to the numbers. Only numbers and facts, only hardcore.
There is the concept of money supply. Money supply is all money in cash and non-cash form
The money supply includes:
- bank accounts (deposit, settlement, current);
- securities;
- payment checks, cards;
- electronic money; stock;
- credit funds (bills, loans).
Let's start with cash. The sum of all the pieces of paper in the world is equal (in dollars) to about 5 trillion ($5,000,000,000,000,000), moreover, 1.74 trillion of them are paper dollars.
All the world's gold reserves are $7.7 trillion. Silver – a measly $17 billion
All commercial real estate is worth $33.3 trillion
All stocks on the stock markets are valued at more than $85 trillion, most of them are US stocks.
All world investments in derivatives are not less than $544 trillion. According to other estimates, their cost reaches $1.2 quadrillion. There are no exact data.
The price of all cryptocurrencies is over $2 trillion, Bitcoin coins are at least $1.17 trillion.
Therefore, it is not possible to calculate the exact amount.
The approximate money supply in the world at the moment is from $650 trillion to a quadrallion and more … wow, even writing such numbers is scary. And if in c.u.x, then tens of quadrallions
How much for each?
If you consider that there are about 8 billion people on Earth, each could receive about a million dollars. But unfortunately the economy works a little differently. 80% of all money is held by 20% of people. Approximately half of them live in the USA. But the poverty rate in the states continues to rise.
According to a report by Credit Suisse (the largest Swiss financial conglomerate), 3.5 billion people have less than 1% of all the money in the world, and only the 26 richest people according to Forbes have as much as the same 3.5 billion people.
Money has always attracted people, some devote their lives to savings, and some spend it thoughtlessly. All of them are united by one thing – the desire to master banknotes. Such is the harsh world of capitalism.
Finally, I would like to say one phrase: "Happiness is not at all in money … … but in their quantity."
Of course, many will say that how they can bring happiness. Yes, very simple. By themselves, banknotes in the wallet will not bring much joy, but they can be exchanged for our tasks and goals. For example, I always dreamed of a brand new Tesla and a huge house outside the city – this is my dream. But it can only be achieved through money. Money is just a way to achieve your goals and dreams. And their achievement, in turn, will make you feel happy.
But in pursuit of them, you always need to remain human, otherwise why is it all at all? What do you think about this? Share your opinion in the comments.
